Printing Method: The Persona C30e uses the Direct Card printing method to print on the cards. When you have placed the PVC cards in the input hopper, the cards first go through the Cleaner Roller. This removes any dirt from the card so that when it goes to the printing ribbon, it is dirt free. The printer ribbon then prints the information on the surface of the card using Dye-sublimation / resin thermal transfer.
Card Encoding: The card encoding feature is an optional module that encodes data on the magnetic stripe. The encoded data gives you access control. You can assign which employee has access to which department or area of a facility.
Card Size: The card sizes the Persona C30e can print are from 9 mil thin to 40 mil thick. This gives you flexibility in printing and encoding cards. Thin cards are popular today, the thinner the card, the more popular it is. Thin cards are lightweight, easy to carry, and can be mailed easily.
