The Magicard Prima 4 uses the reverse transfer technology to print ID cards. This technology produces high quality images, and can print on non PVC cards. It protects the printhead as it prints on a film that is placed on the card’s surface instead of printing directly on an uneven surface.

You can add lamination to your ID cards to make them more durable. The laminator can laminate one side or both sides of the ID card. Your lamination options include a Holographic lamination and Ultraviolet (UV) printing. These make your cards highly secure.

The consumable films used in the Magicard Prima 4 are high yield films. The lowest film yields 750 prints while the highest yield film yields 1000 prints. You wouldn’t need to be changing the films regularly.

High Quality Printing The Magicard Prima 4 produces high quality ID cards. The reverse technology used by it prints top quality images, graphics, and text. You will see the difference once the card has been printed.

Lamination Benefit Lamination makes your ID cards durable; protecting the image from wear and tear. You get two types of lamination options, thin holographic Overlays and Patch laminates. The thin holographic Overlay places a thin protection layer with a holographic design on the card. It isn’t suitable for cards that are frequently swiped. Patch laminates places a thick protection layer that is either clear or holographic on the card.

UV Security Ultra Violet printing makes your ID cards highly secure; less risk of counterfeit. The UV ribbon prints invisible logos, text or symbols on the card that is only visible through a UV light source. This is suitable for smaller organizations as its more affordable than holographic laminates.

Long Lasting Films The films used in the Magicard Prima 4 last longer than the print ribbons. An average print ribbon yields 350 prints with the best ribbon yielding 500 prints. On the other hand, an average film yields 750 prints with the best film yielding 1000 prints. This helps you to save money on the accessories.

More Capacity The input and output hoppers have a bigger holding capacity. They both can hold 100 cards each, which is the biggest size of all the Magicard ID card printers.
